Janice Willen was my mother. She was so incredibly artistic.
Whatever she did whether painting, drawing, sculpting, knitting, sewing or cooking, her artistic creative talent was always present. She made sure that the arts were an important part of my life as a child growing up. Because of her, I became an art teacher and then a visual arts curriculum specialist. She truly inspired me. Today her many drawings and paintings are displayed in my home and others. In addition, one of her paintings was selected to hang at The Baltimore Museum of Art. She will never be forgotten.
