Focus on Female Creativity

Help us celebrate the Baltimore Museum of Art’s 2020 Vision initiative and share the story of an artist, a caregiver, a frontline worker, a mentor, or friend in our living mosaic honoring female creativity and the women who have inspired you!

In honor of Cristina Guerrero

Good morning from Spain! The first, much encouragement and strength against the coronavirus, here, luckily we are coming out and logically, that everything returns to normal on this issue and on racism, very hard news arrives from United States. My name is Peio Etxezarreta, I am the painter of the painter Cristina Guerrero, and for me she is a genius! She is someone special, with a great inner strength, painting since she was a girl, until now that she is 40 years old. He has been working with galleries in many countries for about 15 years, presenting new collections, new courses, with a very personal stamp, very "Warriors" all her paintings, fresh, sensual, alive, with color and joy, as she is. She has inspired me for 20 years that we travel together, working at home, with three children, and it is incredible how she can handle everything, because you know, artists never rest, apart from painting, all this day thinking, creating, always with new ideas. I find your commitment to women very interesting, they are quite invisible to many in the art world, fairs, etc., and I say this from my own experience, and I think you do a job praise. I invite you to see Cristina's work, there are references in Google, social networks, etc. and on her website www.cristinaguerreto.com Much encouragement with all my what is happening, and very strong regards. Peio Etxezarreta
