Although no plans for the Garrett-Thomas mansion at 101 West Monument Street have come to light, there may have been a pair of matched doors entering the room where all five of the Museum’s small Tiffany windows once hung. If used as an over-door light, Autumn Leaves would have been balanced by its companion, Red Apples on a Branch. Together, they lent an autumnal air, countering the summery aspect of the three floral windows.
