Extremely large-scale characterized tea and coffee services were made in Baltimore during the first quarter of the 19th century. The Museum also owns the teapot and waste bowl from this service. The waste bowl is displayed in the left-hand case [#10].

Inscribed: Engraved monogram "IAR" (almost illegible)

Markings: Stamped letters/mark in separate reserves: "S", "W", eagle's head facing left inside an oval (considered his earliest mark), side of foot rim
