Queer Interiors: All Types of Kids Need All Types of Families
June 4 · 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Hear from LGBTQI+ foster care parents about the importance, joys, and challenges of being a foster parent and the positive impact of diverse representation in the foster care community on kids. Meet with Department of Social Services recruiters from Baltimore City and Baltimore County to learn more.
Queer Interiors is part of the BMA’s Commons Collaboration initiative, which commissions an artist and non-profit to work together on an installation and offer a series of public programs related to Imagining Home. The project, conceived and produced by Rahne Alexander and Jaimes Mayhew, is comprised of a larger-than-life bed, shelving and other furnishings, personal artifacts, and a multimedia wall quilt.
