Friends of the American Wing and special guests are invited to an exclusive opportunity for a closer look at the BMA’s jewelry collection. Join Elyse Karlin, Editor-in-Chief of Adornment, The Magazine of Jewelry and Related Arts, and Brittany Luberda, Assistant Curator
of Decorative Arts at the BMA, as they discuss highlights from the Museum’s collection, including pieces owned by the Cone sisters. Paired with this panel, an array of jeweled and beaded works from the Renaissance to the present day will be brought out from the vault. The evening will traverse the BMA’s broad collection to investigate collecting and display of jewelry today.
Exclusively for BMA Members, participation in a Friends Group provides exclusive opportunities to visit private collections and artists's studios, connect with BMA curators and art experts, and much more.
