BMA Members are invited to take part in a trip to our nation's capital and enjoy a carefree day of art without having to worry about traffic or parking!
The tour will depart from the BMA at 9 a.m. for Hillwood Estate, Museum, and Gardens where travelers will tour the Estate's exquisite formal gardens. These stunning garden rooms at Hillwood, including a French parterre, an English garden, a rose garden, and many more, were designed to complement the Mansion's interior spaces. Free time will also be available to explore the Museum's collections of 18th-century French Decorative and Russian Imperial art. Lunch will be served in the Hillwood Café.
The group will then visit the Kreeger Museum, an incredible museum that blends art and architecture. The afternoon tour is an opportunity to experience Impressionist paintings by Picasso, Renoir, Pissarro, and Monet and as well as many other 20th-century European and American artists. After the tour, there will be time to visit other areas of the Museum or revisit favorite works.
The art-filled day concludes at 4 p.m., arriving by bus at the BMA around 5:30 p.m.
BMA Day Trips are open to Members at all levels. This trip is priced at $130 and includes all Museum entry and tours, lunch, and transportation by bus. Payment in full is required for reservations.
Buenos Aires is a vibrant city with a fascinating mosaic of European influences that stretches along the Rio de la Plata. In addition, no trip to Argentina would be complete without experiencing the gaucho lifestyle of the Pampas and the seductive pleasures of the tango. Participants also have the option to extend their trip to the Salta Province and enjoy its spectacular scenery, vast vineyards, and Bodega Colomé, home to the James Turrell Museum.
