Leslie Rose

Leslie Rose (she/her), Joyce J. Scott Curatorial Research Assistant, joined the Baltimore Museum of Art in 2022. Before she arrived at the BMA, Ms. Rose worked in several institutions, including the Andy Warhol Museum, Yale University Art Gallery, Yale Center for British Art, and the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture. Most recently, Ms. Rose served as the Community Programs Coordinator at Sandy Spring Museum, located in Sandy Spring, MD. Ms. Rose received her Master of Arts in African studies from Yale University in 2021 and her Bachelor of Arts in the history of art and architecture from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017. Her Master’s thesis focused on contemporary African diasporic art, the history and legacy of transatlantic slavery, performance, and museum interventions.
