Community Day at the BMA

Celebrate the reopening of the BMA’s first floor with a day of activities inspired by the exhibition A Modern Influence: Henri Matisse, Etta Cone, and Baltimore and the new galleries dedicated to the art of AfricaOceania, and Ancient Americas. 

Join us for performances, tastings, hands-on artmaking, free admission to A Modern Influence, and lots and lots of art! This special Community Day celebrates the reopening of the Museum’s first floor. Be among the first to see our:

  • First-ever gallery dedicated to the art of Oceania
  • First-ever gallery dedicated to the Indigenous Art of the Ancient Americas
  • New presentation of the African art collection
  • The Nancy Dorman and Stanley Mazaroff Center for the Study of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs
  • The Ruth R. Marder Center for Matisse Studies

This event is free and open to all ages.

To attend, please reserve a free timed-entry pass on Sunday, December 12 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
