A horse and rider violently attacked by a huge serpent. The serpent is coiled around both the horse (that has collapsed on all four legs) and the rider. The rider's body is twisted to the proper right, his arms are out-stretched, and his head is thrown back as the serpent bites him in the neck. Base: oval mound; no rim.
