Large hollow head portion of figural sculpture portraying a shaman. In this example, the individual is shown with mouth slightly ajar and eyes closed, indicating that he is in a trance, or dead. His helmet, secured by a chin strap, bears a wide, ornamented band and arrow-shaped crest. The object has been burned.
