Preoccupied: Indigenizing the Museum

The artwork, perspectives, and histories of Native artists, scholars, and community members are at the center of this major BMA initiative, addressing the historical erasure of Indigenous culture by arts institutions while creating new practices for museums.

BMA Ball and After Party

Celebrate the BMA’s 110th anniversary with the spectacular BMA Ball and After Party. This spectacular evening will feature music, cocktails, a seated dinner in the galleries, and the inaugural Artists Who Inspire and Changemaker Who Inspires awards. The night continues with music by DJ Tanz, open bar, tasty noshes, VIP lounges, and special guests at the After Party.

Turn Again to the Earth

The BMA is embarking on an ambitious environmental initiative that includes a series of ten exhibitions that capture the relationships between art and the environment across time and geography, the development of a sustainability strategic plan, and a citywide eco-challenge led by the Museum.
