Ellen Gottfried

Ellen Gottfried (she/her), Education Manager, joined the BMA in January 1982. She oversees the day-to-day operations and administration of the Education Department. In addition to tracking the division’s operating and exhibition budgets, Ellen keeps yearly statistics for the division and produces their end-of-year final report. She has been the project manager for the annual Baltimore City/Baltimore County Public Schools student art exhibitions since its inception.

Prior to working at the BMA, Ellen attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and then graduated from the Maryland General Hospital School of Radiology as a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Three years later, she left the field and joined the BMA family.
