A Taste of West Africa

Meet us in the Baltimore Room at Lexington Market for music, a food tasting, and a screening of Omar Ba in Conversation with Mamadou Diouf.

Continuing the musical lineage of his father’s heritage Amadou Kouyate will play traditional West African instruments such as kora, djembe, and koutiro drums to create a soundtrack to a recorded interview of Senegalese artist Omar Ba in conversation with historian Mamadou Diouf. The event will include a food tasting with Platinum Amala.

Omar Ba: Political Animals is on view at the BMA through Sunday, April 2.
