In his previous BMA position as the Getty Paper Project Fellow in Prints, Drawings, and Photographs (2022–2024), Dr. Joyce co-curated the exhibition Art/Work: Women Printmakers of the WPA. His research has been supported by the Hauser & Wirth Institute and the NYU Public Humanities Initiative in Doctoral Education.
