Teaching Artist

Sunmi is a multidisciplinary cartoonist, illustrator, and zinester from Northern California, now based in Baltimore. Their body of work explores emotional distances and gender deviant fantasies within a framework of queer + Korean histories and mythologies. Their debut young adult graphic novel Firebird was published with Harper Collins in 2023, and they also continue to independently publish zines and comics.
