About the Artist
Baltimore-based artist Schroeder Cherry makes mixed-media assemblage paintings that incorporate a variety of found and discarded objects and offer open-ended narratives inspired by travel, music, literature, folklore, and everyday events. He is currently the curator of the James E. Lewis Museum of Art (JELMA) at Morgan State University.
