Visual Description
“As Soft as She Is…” is a vertical oil painting on linen, measuring 54 inches by 43 inches, of an adult woman standing in the center of the composition and gazing toward the viewer, wearing a long, white dalmatian-print coat with black buttons. Her skin tone is rendered in grayscale, and the painting crops her legs below the knees. The background is a solid hue of warm, light pink. Beneath her coat, the figure wears a pink tie-neck blouse with a large bow at the center of her neck; a smooth, wide tan belt; and bright yellow slacks. She appears to be leaning on her right leg in a contrapposto pose, and her hands are in her coat pockets. The figure’s long, wavy hair is parted in the middle and falls behind her shoulders, and she wears gold stud earrings.
