Station 4: Jesus Meets His Holy Mother Visual Description

    Station 4, positioned on the far right of the lowest row, is approximately four tiles high and four tiles wide and shows two figures. The figures represent Jesus and his mother, who has met him on his journey. Behind Jesus, who stands to the left, are two lines that loosely form a cross, which he holds over his far-left shoulder. Jesus’ pose resembles the figure’s pose in Station 2, hunched over and facing toward the right side of the mural, apparently walking in that direction while burdened with the cross. The figure representing Jesus’ mother stands to the right of the hunched figure and appears to stride towards the right in step with her son.
