Community Day: The Culture
The BMA welcomed 1700 people to the public opening of The Culture: Hip Hop and Contemporary Art in the 21st Century on Sunday, April 16. Thank you for visiting!
Community Day featured free admission to The Culture plus activities for the entire family. Browse through our photo gallery to see Blakwater House’s beat-making experience, food served by The Land of Kush and Blacksauce Kitchen, b-boy and b-girl performances with dancers Talbolt Johnson, Dushyanthi, and Gala, and pop-up fashion moments by local designers Brandi Lewis, Evette Monique Couture, and Bryan Robinson of The Black Genius Art Show.
